Whitedrake is an advisory dedicated to supporting property developers, institutional investors, and landholders in crafting and managing bespoke large-scale transactions.

The company was founded in 2004 working with the UK’s national house builders forward selling large scale apartment schemes to institutions for BtR. Through the years the Affordable Housing sector has developed as a substantial part of our business. Whitedrake have transacted on some 5,000+ units since our inception usually in some of the most challenging circumstances.

 More recently and after a number of requests for Land Led Investments, we have developed a framework of Strategic Partnerships that enable Whitedrake to design highly efficient and financially viable master project plans with relative certainty. These master projects begin with Land Identification, design & viability to the forward sale and funding of the properties. Our Strategic Partnerships (land holders, developers, investors, professional teams etc.) are made up of partners whom have consistently performed to a high standard over the years. This collaborative approach has resulted in highly efficient strategic projects that dramatically decrease costs ultimately creating better value, visibility and stability for all partners concerned.

We manage complex transactions from cradle to grave, in collaboration with a team of specialist lawyers and built environment professionals. Matt Suggitt

Land Led Investments, Lead

With a background working with PLC Housebuilders and Private Equity backed MMC Housebuilders, Matt has developed a strong expertise in land identification, development feasibility, viability appraisals, town planning, contracting, and advancing both immediate and strategic land opportunities.

A key aspect of Matt’s role is to work closely with landowners, SME and national housebuilders, registered providers (non-profit and for-profit), and PE/institutional funds. By leveraging Matt’s negotiation skills and stakeholder management abilities, Whitedrake help their clients create value through planning gains, derisk opportunities, and maximize financial and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) returns.

One of Matt’s passions is collaborating with driven, like-minded individuals to create compelling new places to live. Matt is committed to playing a part in addressing the housing crisis and is passionate about promoting good design and carbon reduction in all aspects of the built environment.

Throughout his career, Matt has secured sites and planning permissions for the delivery of over 16,000 homes across the South-East. His experience spans a wide range of projects, from small-scale developments to large-scale schemes consisting of hundreds of units.
